Join Emily as she discusses the importance of color in both exterior and interior applications. Exploring some basics of color theory from an artistic and design background, Emily will suggest certain color combinations using plant material, décor items and unusual accessories. Be prepared to be inspired to create attractive combinations embracing both traditional and trend-setting colors.
Emily currently manages Emily’s Gift Barn at Harvey’s Farm here in Westborough and is the sixth generation family member to partake in the family business. She enjoys creating colorful displays and working with customers at a personal level. She is also very passionate about art and earned her bachelor’s degree in art from Framingham State with high honors. She brings her artistic eye and design sense to the storefront and loves helping customers see plants and products differently.
When she’s not busy at the barn, Emily also teaches youth classes at local art museums, including The Worcester Art Museum and Danforth Museum of Art. She also exhibits her artwork locally, including in her gift barn.
